Dr. Kathleen O’Hara
Veterinarian
Dr. Kathleen O’Hara graduated from Oregon State/Washington State College with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Although she spent 10 years in Oregon she is originally from Connecticut. She decided she wanted to be a veterinarian at an early age after she lost her first dog to a car accident.
After graduating from UConn with a B.S. in Animal Science, she spent time working with a number of different species, including cows, goats, and of course companion animals.
After working in research with other veterinarians, her interest in school was renewed and she made a move to Oregon to attend Oregon State University. There she pursued a masters in Veterinary Science in the College of Veterinary Medicine. While studying the effect of diet on the immune system, she was admitted into the veterinary program and completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Besides Connecticut and Oregon, she has also spent time in Virginia and the Philippines and now calls Florida her home. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, running, sewing, reading, and crafts. She also enjoys spending time with her cats, Lucy and Baby.
